Acceptable Use and Messaging Policy
Draft — pending legal review.
Consent
Every recipient must give express consent before you message them, for the specific type of messages you send. Marketing messages require express written consent. Keep proof of consent and provide it on request.
Opt-out and help
Recipients can reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT to opt out, and HELP for help. Kestrel processes these keywords automatically and blocks further messages to opted-out numbers.
Identification
Messages must identify your business and match the registered 10DLC campaign use case.
Prohibited content
- SHAFT content (sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco) except where carriers allow it with age gating
- Cannabis, illegal drugs, gambling without approval, high-risk financial services, debt collection without approval
- Phishing, fraud, malware, deceptive links or URL shorteners that hide the destination
- Purchased, rented or scraped contact lists
Voice
No robocalls without the consent the law requires, no spoofed caller ID, and no calls that violate the TCPA or telemarketing rules.
Enforcement
We monitor traffic for abuse and may block messages, suspend numbers or close accounts. Report abuse to support@kestreltel.com.
